Waving Bamboo is a self generated structure. A dynamic environment is created by strategically arrange the bamboos and connect them according to specific algorithm. The various spaces offer people different experience within a continuous environment. Bamboo is chosen to construct the structure due to its special material charity as well as its natural feature.

The Acorn Woodpecker (Melanerpes formicivorus) is a medium-sized woodpecker, 21 cm long with an average weight of 85g. The adult has a black head, back, wings and tail, white forehead, throat, belly and rump. The eyes are white. The adult male has a red cap starting at the forehead, whereas females have a black area between the forehead and the cap. The white neck, throat and forehead patches are distinctive identifiers.

Waving Bamboo reconstructs the social structure of Acorn Woodpecker according to building structure and merges the language of birds into architectures, meanwhile, connecting the language of birds with architectures by wave.
